However, in 1930 Barron and Larcher arrived in the Cotswolds 'thirsting for more colours' and in addition to experimenting with new synthetic dyes, they also developed overprinting, no longer faced with the economic constraints of the 1920s which had meant they often kept to single colour prints.{8} (No. 1)
