Barron and Larcher

Other important commissions included indigo linen curtains printed with Winchester for the choir stalls at Winchester Cathedral (No. 1) and a major commission between 1932-4 for Girton College, Cambridge, where Barron and Larcher were appointed to produce a complete decorative scheme for the Fellows' Combination Room and Dining Room, designed by Michael Waterhouse. They were also to be asked to advise on soft furnishings for the new Library together with those for some additional accommodation for teaching staff. Subsequently, the design Girton was named after the commission. (No. 2)
