Upstairs, a well-lit room was set out with several long print tables. (No. 1) Women from the village were employed to help with the printing, trained by Dorothy Larcher, and visitors were encouraged to watch Peggy Burt and Daisy Ryland at work. (No. 2) Daisy was also a very good seamstress and made up many of the smaller items, such as finely hemmed scarves, while Emily Edsall concentrated on the furnishings and upholstery. (No. 3)
