Description The drawings were all made in the Piazza dei Signori, the centre of government in mediaeval Verona. The cartouche, top left, is on a brick arch spanning the passageway which leads out of the Piazza between the Preffetura and the Palazzo del Capitano. The cartouche on the right is from the portal of the Prefettura (1533) by Michele Sanmicheli (1484-1589). That at bottom left is from the doorway of the Palazzo del Capitano (1531), also by Sanmicheli.
