Description Although generally disappointed with the buildings in Cremona, Mackintosh described the Baptistery as ‘very good' ('Diary, 15 June). It is an octagonal Lombard Romanesque building of 1167, built of brick but partly faced with marble. Mackintosh drew the marble-faced façade to the left of the entrance.
