Description Elizabeth, Countess of Sandwich (c. 1674-1757) was the second daughter of John Wilmot, Earl of Rochester. She was co-heir with her brother Charles, 3rd Earl of Rochester, and married Edward Cotes, 3rd Earl of Sandwich on 8 July 1689. The frame is an excellent example of late seventeenth century work done by a native rather than by an immigrant craftsman.
