Description This painting forms a pair with 176P10. Both paintings were presumably painted for Aston Hall, and have been in the house ever since. They are in the style favoured by Jacques Rousseau, who was working in London at the end of the seventeenth century but are most probably early eighteenth century in date judging from the general lightness of tone and great attention to decorative effect.
