Description An old woman is seen selling poultry to a younger girl holding a bucket of fruit and eggs. The scene takes place through arched window, decorated with ivy and classical frieze at base depicting putti at play. Alexis van Hamme worked in the tradition of the Dutch fijnschilders (fine painters), and the influence of Gerrit Dou can clearly be seen.
