This small oil painting is attributed to the Flemish painter Lodewijk van Schoor. Three men and a woman are at work on the harvest in the fields in the right middle-ground. A church spire is visible behind trees in the centre background and in the foreground a young boy can be seen carrying a pole up a tree-lined path.
Van Schoor is best known for his landscapes, but he also produced mythological scenes in landscape settings as designs for tapestries.
