Description Portrait in typical Lely fashion of a young lady, Miss Walpole, in a brown dress, wearing a pearl necklace and holding some orange blossoms. The portrait belonged to the Bowyer Smith family, who claimed the sitter was a friend of the family and related to Sir Robert Walpole.
