History Exhibited in a Society of Scribes and Illuminators exhibition in April 1968. Sir Toby Weaver's wife visited the exhibition before he did and bought it for him as a birthday present. Sir Toby then visited the exhibition, hoping to buy some of Joan Pilsbury's work, but was very annoyed to find it had all been sold - particularly this book, which he particularly wanted. In 1990 he donated the piece to the Crafts Study Centre, along with a small book by Irene Wellington (I asked the earth, C.90.12).
