Material Pencil, pen and black ink on wove paper ( Whatman hand made 1868).
Notes Signed 'Debut', pseudonym of W.R. Lethaby. Published in The Building News, vol. 32 (1878-79). Made for The Building News Designing Club Competition. Lethaby entered 19 drawings in all, 17 of which were published in The Building News, all of which are present in the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design Special Collection. Lethaby won the competition, being awarded first place in the January of 1878.
Object Notes Architectural drawing for a doorway in the Tudor style, signed with the Debut pseudonym and with a scale in feet and inches. Shows 1) elevation 2) section 3) plan of jamb 3) sketch and 4) 'label'.
