Description Spine by Talwin Morris. Prussian-blue cloth with design in white and gilt. A single stem rises vertically to centre, topped with a gilt bud. To either side, verticals radiate diagonally. Morris's 3-dot cypher runs vertically up the spine. Gilt italic letters above. Below horizontal arabesques and further 3-dot cyphers. This design was first exhibited at the 5th Arts and Crafts Exhibition, New Gallery, Regent Street, London from 5 October-5 December 1896.
