Description Front cover by Talwin Morris. Imperial red cloth with a ten-stemmed candelabrum in gilt embracing the Royal coat of arms surmounted by a crown. The outermost pair of stems are tall, and rise sharply to terminate in elongated thistle heads. The next three pairs bear roses, and curve out and in towards the Royal arms. The innermost pair are prone and bear shamrock. Series title in serif capitals below. Two small gilt dots to base. A contemporary publisher's advertisement states that the series is "Sumptuously bound. The cloth is of the finest and is imperial red in colour. The embellishments (produced in gold) are an appropriate design of national arms and imperial emblems by the eminent designer, Talwin Morris".
