Description Black and white photograph of the head of the suffragettes' procession for the coronation, 17 Jun 1911. From left to right are pictured Christabel Pankhurst wearing a long dark cloak, Emmeline Pankhurst wearing a long white coat and a hat with feathers, and Emmeline Pethick Lawrence with a rosette pinned to her chest. Behind are more women, with a large banner. A mounted policeman rides along side them. Mounted on cream paper, with a photographer's stamp on the reverse.
