Process Sandringham flax. Warp: red (madder). Weft: red (madder), brown (cutch), yellow (weld). Monks belt: plain weave and 1/2 inch weft over-shot pattern stripes. 4 threads brown, 3 threads yellow, 4 threads brown separated by 6 picks of plain weave. Each complete pattern stripe separated by 1 inch of plain weave. Selvedge: 8/8 double ends 30 ends per inch 28-30 picks per inch
