| Description | In the foreground of this landscape painting are three peasants ploughing a field. Visible in the left background are cottage roofs, some with smoking chimneys. The first owner, Professor Geddes was the Principal of Aberdeen University and the brother-in-law of John Forbes White, the noted collector and patron of Mollinger who, following the artist's death, returned to Aberdeen with several of Mollinger's works, which he then sold to friends and family. | |
