| Description |
Londonio was born in Milan into a noble family of Spanish origin and studied under Ferdinando Porta. He depicted rustic peasant life; an animal group such as this was a typical subject. The colours are generally muted earth tones and the brushwork is very delicate and detailed. His meticulous style is similar to that of Grechetto and Flemish painters such as Teniers the Younger. |
