Having been sent photographs by famous individuals of themselves, the artist brings the notion of portrait painting back to the subjects by questioning why they chose that specific image. The artist explores these issues through the compostion of a self invented "distance controlled recognition". The artist composes the geometry that makes up the image and controls the focus of the subject at a selected distance between 4 and 4000 feet. |
