Notes	Sketches by W.R. Lethaby under pseudonym 'Debut' for The Building News Designing Club Competition. Lethaby entered 19 drawings in all, 17 of which were published in The Building News, all of which are present in the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design Special Collection. Lethaby won the competition, being awarded first place in the January of 1878. (See also F.2 - F.11) All drawings are signed with Lethaby's "Debut" pseudonym and are labelled "Building News Designing Club".
Object Notes	Architectural design for a graveyard "monument", signed with the Debut pseudonym and with a scale in feet and inches... Shows 1) elevation (with a note on suggested use of colours) and 2) a sketch. Again, there is evidence of an older erased drawing slightly above the visible design. [The paper is Whatman (hand made wove) 1871.]
