| Notes | The rose motif which appears here on the design for the side elevation, is remarkably similar to a stone rubbing made by Lethaby on one of his earlier trips to Europe or the West Country (early 1880s) - see F.136. This was almost certainly designed by Lethaby for Stanmore house; the contract to design all the wood furnishings and five fireplaces was handed to him by William Morris. | |
| Object Notes | (Unfinished) sheet of design details for a bookcase with notes and dimensions in Lethaby's hand. Displays what appears to be a side elevation (in pencil) and an unfinished (or working) elevation of the front. Featuring "flower" motifs and various other details. Interesting rose motif (see main details). | |
