| Description | An illustrated desk calendar in an octagonal frame, circa 1950s or 1960s. This calendar comprises a foil printed cardboard mount, which is illustrated with 2 blue tits on a branch, into which sections have been cut out to reveal rotating discs marked with the day, month and date. The discs are rotated by means of 4 knobs mounted on the reverse side. There is a moulded hinged support with which to display the calendar at an angle on a flat surface. The calendar is surrounded by an injection moulded frame in blue polypropylene. This calendar could be considered to be an example of kitsch design | |
