| Description | A lime green and white, straight-sided, melamine cup from the early 1960s, part of the Gaydon range introduced by BIP as a result of the success of Melaware. This kind of tableware was popular during the 1950s and 1960s for its bright colours and 'unbreakable' quality. It later lost favour due to the fact it stained easily and so is now mainly used for picnics. Gaydon two colour cups were made in a split mould the two-colour effect was produced in two stages and the items required individual hand finishing. Designed by A.H. 'Woody' Woodfull. | |
