Description Part of a pale blue tea set, or dinner service, manufactured by W R Midwinter Ltd in the 1960s. The set comprises one large plate, 6 side plates, 6 saucers, a milk jug and a sugar bowl. The plates are a square in shape and the whole set is made of melamine formaldehyde. This kind of tableware was popular during the 50s and 60s for its bright colours and 'unbreakable' quality. It later lost favour due to the fact it stained easily and so is now mainly used for picnics. For the rest of the set see AIBDC : 005394.
