The print depicts a horseman and a magnifying glass feining human characteristics, holding a match and a black and white print. On further scrutiny the black and white print also depicts a cowboy on horseback. Mara was interested in the concept of morphic resonance, whereby if an idea is already in the ether then identification of similar ideas by the same or different people will be hastened. This was an idea discussed by Rupert Sheldrake, a writer at the time. |
