Two busts are juxtaposed - one of the traditional sculpted variety, and the other consisting of two italian votives, used by Roman Catholics as symbols when praying for physical healing. The traditional bust has a broken nose, while the votives depict eyes and mouth, but not the nose. Mara did this print while teaching at the British School in Rome. |
