Stained glass was one of the first subjects taught at CSAC and has continued unbroken for over 100 years. (Author; possibly C.Winston)
The collection of books has always been an important part of the Teaching Examples Collection. The range of titles is wide with all subject areas taught in the original Central School represented. The collection is particularly rich in natural history, architecture, textiles, early printed books and portfolios of design examples. Lethaby advocated the use of good examples from books in the absence of the opportunity to study from life. |
