Collection Museum of Design in Plastics: Arts University College at Bournemouth
Date circa 1995
Description A Melaware melamine side plate in blue and green with a paisley and check pattern from the 1990s. Melaware was popular during the 1950s and 1960s for its bright colours and 'unbreakable' quality. It later lost favour due to the fact it stained easily and so is now mainly used for picnics.
