Title: January deadline for this year's DADA
Text: January deadline for this year's DADA
If you are a graphic designer, no matter what your medium, you still have time to submit your entry for this year's Designers and Art Directors Exhibition. The closing date for entries is 14 January and the exhibition will be held at Reed House, Piccadilly (as usual) from 7 June-1 July 1966.
Quite apart from submitting your own work to the scrutiny of others in the profession the jury consists of 18 art directors, designer. and copywriters, as well as special guests there is the chance to put it before a large number of people. Last year's DADA exhibition, which was designed by Ian Bradbery, contained 400 examples of graphic art in advertising, packaging, posters, book covers, film and television titles and commercials, and was seen by 6,000 people while it was at Reed House during the summer. Since then, it has been on a European tour. In September, the exhibition was shown in Amsterdam and received 2,000 visitors; in October, Jennie Lee, Minister for Cultural Affairs, opened it in Milan where 6,000 people saw it; this month, it is in Frankfurt, and in April it goes to Budapest and Oslo. Could anyone ask for a better display of his work ?
